Studio Status Update: Temporarily Closed, Update on To-Go Kits
Hello! I am Krystal and I am the grateful Owner/Operator of Color Me Mine Princeton. If we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting in person, either in the Hamilton or Princeton studio, I look forward to doing so soon. I’ve prepared this communication to provide consistent updates on the status of our business as we move through this situation. We will add updates to the bottom of the communication as they happen, please check back often.
My husband and I took over the Color Me Mine business in Hamilton, NJ in May of last year and found out two months later that we would have to relocate. I’m not one to shrink at a challenge and after finding our new location, I immediately began to dream of our new studio and its opening weekend. Never did I imagine we would close our newly built studio, temporarily, due to the COVID-19 crisis only a week after opening. The last week or so has been heavy for all of us and I want to take a moment to once again thank you all for your loyalty and support. As a small business owner and community member, it means everything to us that you choose us and continue to rally behind our business and all of the small businesses in our area.
I also want to take a quick moment to thank my team. They have endured so much over the last 9 months as we prepared the studio to move. And then later, once we all thought it would be smooth sailing, I had to suddenly furlough them due to the shut-down order. I truly could not be where I am without their loyalty, support and dedication. I can only imagine the level of uncertainty they must be feeling, much like the rest of the world, and I so look forward to having them back at the studio when we reopen.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. While we are passionate about providing fun and creativity for this community, the health and safety of our employees and customers remain our top priority. We are committed to doing our part to helping stop the spread of COVID-19. With that in mind, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our studio to walk-in customers as of March 22, 2020. We will continue to offer To-Go kits as online orders, now with shipping, as long as we are permitted to do so. Your support of our To-Go kits will allow us to reopen when the time comes, and we are happy to provide a creative outlet for some of you during this difficult time. To shop for a To-Go kit, head here. We look forward to the day when we can re-open our doors & create with you again very soon!! Stay tuned for a Grand Opening celebration!
STATUS UPDATE: (Updated 4/1/2020 @ 10:00pm)
If you have pieces with us that were painted in Hamilton or Princeton: Rest assured your pieces have already been glazed and fired and are safe and sound in our Princeton studio. We are working on a way to get these pieces to you safely and within the guidelines of the stay at home order and will send more information as soon as we can.
If you purchased a To Go Kit and are ready to have it glazed and fired: Please tuck those finished pieces into a safe place while we figure out how to safely retrieve your pieces. I will send a notification via email and/or text message to everyone that still has pottery just as soon as we can.
If you have questions, please email us at email@example.com.
We will keep you up to date with any changes via email, our website and social media. Stay healthy and keep on creating. See you at the studio…soon!
